What does the “H” in Antonio’s middle name stand for?
This is one of the questions I get asked the most. I’m happy to announce this will be answered in the first pages of Julieta and the Cryptic Rose.
What kind of books do you write?
I write all kinds of ChYAL: picturebooks, middle grade, and Young Adult. Oh, and academic stuff too!
However, only Julieta has been published.
What are you working on right now?
I’m currently writing Julieta’s second adventure, Julieta and the Cryptic Rose. It’s scheduled to come out Fall 2026. I’m also a Ph.D. candidate, so I’m working hard on my dissertation.
Where did the idea for Julieta come from?
If you’ve read The Diamond Enigma you know that Julieta is a force of nature. She popped into my head, an amalgamation of characters that I love (Amelia Bedelia, Ramona Quimby, and Flavia de Luce) and wouldn’t let me be until I shared her with the world.
