A few months ago I was invited to participate in this year’s Calling Caldecott. For those of you unfamiliar with Calling Caldecott, it’s a fantastic series of posts by guest writers, reviewers, librarians, and children’s books lovers that aim to praise the ‘Caldecott worthy qualities’ of certain books. I was lucky enough to be invited and given the wonderful task of writing about My Papi Has a Motorcycle, by Isabel Quintero and illustrated by Zeke Peña.
